EK9 ENTRIES

It’s the question we keep getting from our Gapped community—DMs flying in, comments stacking up, and plenty of intrigue around one hot topic: Should we swap the wheels on the EK9? Up until today, we've been firm believers in keeping this car completely stock, preserving its originality in all its late-90s glory. But let’s be honest—what if a set of bronze TE37s just happened to find their way onto that 5x114.3 stud pattern? Would it be such a crime? After all, the existing wheels would still come with the car, neatly packed in the boot, alongside the rest of the EK9’s history. But then comes the real question—should we tamper, or should we let it be?

Exploring the Options

There’s an endless sea of aftermarket wheels, but let’s be real—only a handful truly work on an EK9. It’s not just about fitment; it’s about elevating the car without losing its identity. If I had to handpick a few, here’s my shortlist: 96’ Spec Integra DC2 Wheels – A clean, OEM+ look that just works. Volk Racing TE37s (Bronze, of course) – Lightweight, iconic, and a perfect match. Regamaster EVOs – A love-it-or-hate-it choice, but undeniably period-correct. 98’ Spec Integra Wheels? – Maybe… but I’m just throwing them in for the sake of it. Beyond those, I’d struggle to find another set that genuinely enhances the EK9’s aesthetic without overstepping the fine line between tasteful modification and unnecessary change.

Stock vs. Modified – The Eternal Debate

Look at the photos. A set of well-chosen wheels transforms the EK9’s stance, adding presence and aggression without going overboard. But at the same time, there's something special about a car that remains untouched—a true factory survivor in an era where everything gets modified. So, we’re torn. Do we commit to the swap, or do we respect its unaltered form? Let’s hear it—what would you do? Drop a comment, DM us, and help settle the debate once and for all.
