Howdy! It’s been a little while since our last update, but we’ve been heads-down refining Gapped Online, making improvements that will enhance the way you interact with the app. We wanted to take some time to walk you through what’s new, why we made these changes, and what’s on the horizon.

What’s New in 1.1.2?

🚀 Improved Competition Page
One of the biggest pieces of feedback we received from our last competition was that the power bar wasn’t as intuitive as we’d hoped. Some of you weren’t quite sure how it contributed to your GP total, so we went back to the drawing board. With this update, the power bar is now clearer, and we’ve refined the way progress is displayed so that it’s much easier to understand.

🛍️ In-App Merch Store
This is something we’ve been excited about for a while. The idea of letting you represent Gapped in the real world just made sense, so we made it happen. Now, you can browse and purchase exclusive Gapped gear directly within the app. But we didn’t want it to be just another shop—we wanted it to integrate meaningfully with the app itself. That’s why every purchase earns you additional GP!

🧭 Simplified Navigation
One thing that always sticks in the back of our minds is usability. We’re always asking ourselves: Is this intuitive? Does this flow make sense?  We’ve restructured parts of the app to make moving between sections much more seamless—whether you’re checking competitions, browsing the store, or just exploring.

📱 Pixel Users – We Heard You!
We know that many Google Pixel users have been experiencing frustrating issues, and we truly appreciate your patience while we worked on solutions. Our team has been investigating and resolving the most common complaints, and with version 1.1.2, we’ve rolled out significant fixes that should make your experience much smoother.

🔧 General Enhancements & Bug Fixes
This one’s always a given, but it’s worth mentioning. Every update includes behind-the-scenes tweaks, optimizations, and bug fixes that might not be flashy but are absolutely essential to keeping everything running smoothly. Stability matters, and we’ll never stop improving it.

Behind the Update

A big part of this update was about listening to your feedback. The last competition really highlighted some areas where we could refine the experience, particularly in terms of clarity and ease of use. The Competition page update was a direct response to that.

But beyond just fixing things, we’ve been thinking a lot about how Gapped should evolve. This update is a step toward that vision, and we’re already working on some much bigger changes that will make the app feel more connected, engaging, and—most importantly—fun.

Looking Ahead: What’s Next?

We’re incredibly excited about what’s coming next! Right now, groups and leaderboards are temporarily inaccessible, but that’s because we’re completely overhauling the social side of Gapped. Here’s what we’re working on:

• A More Connected Experience – We want Gapped to feel like a community. This means improving the way you find and connect with other users. Expect better profile discovery, improved messaging, and easier group creation.
• Leaderboards 2.0 – We’re making leaderboards more dynamic. Not only will it be easier to track your progress, but we’re also exploring new leaderboard types—think challenge-based rankings and specialized competitions.
• A Revamped Feed – The feed will be transformed to better serve you with a more personalized experience, featuring content that matters most to you. With smarter updates, easier navigation, and interactive features, it’ll become your go-to place for everything you need.
• More Customization – We know you want more ways to make your profile yours. That’s why we’re working on additional customization options that let you showcase achievements, progress, and personal style.

This is just a glimpse into what’s coming. We’re still fine-tuning these features, but expect big things soon!
